EX1 PAL Question

hey there

 

i have a steadicam job coming into DC in a few weeks and the client wants to shoot on an EX1 PAL because they are in Ireland. Is there an option on the camera to record PAL and output NTSC? Anyone have any ideas on that. My steadicam is NTSC monitor based, but i could probably find a PAL monitor for they day if need be.

I don't think it can record one while outputting the other.

 

Are you sure your monitor doesn't auto sense the input? Most modern ones do, my Flyer-LE does.

Even the old Steadicam IIIs can change from NTSC to PAL, although you do need a screw driver to adjust the vertical hold.

Yeah. In B&W that should be the only difference there is IIRC.

most monitors do both on steadi. the last one i had did not, ntsc only, but i found out that my current one, an upgrade from the older lcd i had, does do both.

so i am good to go!
