Hello,

Im new to the forum and have a question about the Nizo S8. I recently purchased a Braun Nizo S8, however, i have found very, very little information about this particular model. I found a short blurb in a 1966 Popular Science magazine stating that it was newly released in the Super 8 world. Is there anyone here that either has more information about this particular model, or owns this camera and can kindly share some info about? Basically, im just trying to find out what the difference between this camera and other models is? can i use todays kodak cartriges? is it a professional model or just a consumer model camera.

Any information will be much appreciated, cheers.

Here is a link to the best photo ive been able to find of the camera.

This must certainly be one of earliest if not the earliest Nizo super8 camera judging by its selenium photocell instead of the usual CdS photocell.

Cheers,

Does this mean that the camera doesn't have a separate battery to power the light meter like all other nizo's minus the professional? And if that is so, what are the chances that it still reads acuratly?if it doesn't read acuratly, is there any way to fix this? One last question, I'm new two this world and most of the time when reading off of websites, I'm not too sure of what they are talking about, so I appologize if I sound anoying with these questions. Does anyone know if this camera is compatible or work properly with the current kodak film?

Thanks again.

In addition to the Super 8 wiki mentioned, here are a few more links for Nizo info:

Merzbarn; sales and stuff but a very informative "specification chart" of all models: http://www.merzbarn.com/

Du-All Camera Nizo information page: http://www.duallcamera.com/store/Nizos.shtml

Super8 Database; follow the camera link at top to the Nizo pages: http://www.super8data.com/
