flavio filho
Hi guys. Now the complete post, sorry. I have some Kern Paillard primes for my c-mount Bolex, and a Kinoptik 5.7 and two Zeiss for my Arri 16s. U guys know where I can buy the BEST adapters from, to use the lens in between these two? PLUS adapters to use the Nikon 35mm Lens on my Arri and Bolex C-Mount. So, it would be: 1X Adapter Ring C-Mount > Nikon 35mm Lens 1x Adapter Ring C-Mount > PL Mount Lens 1x Adapter Ring PL (Arri) Mount > Nikon 35mm Lens For the C-Mount>Nikon 35mm option I've found this one: http://www.edmundoptics.com/products/displayproduct.cfm?productid=1459 So, is there any other places to look for? Or who manufacturers the best ones? Thanks, Flavio Edited October 29, 2011 by flavio filho
Premium Member Tim Carroll Posted October 29, 2011 Premium Member Share Posted October 29, 2011 If you have an Arriflex 16S, it is highly unlikely you have a PL mount on that camera. Most have the Arri standard mount, and a lesser number have a turret with two Arri standard mounts and one Arri bayonet mount. There were never any factory made Arriflex 16S cameras with a PL mount, and it is a very difficult aftermarket conversion. You can't use Nikon lenses on the Arriflex 16S because of the difference in Flange Focal Distance. The Nikon lenses have a shorter FFD than the Arriflex cameras. I'm not sure but I think it is the same with the C-mount lenses, their FFD is shorter than the Arriflex FFD. Best, -Tim

Any "Adapter People" you know, manufacturers, etc, please let me know. Thanks, F Ok, Tim. Thanks, our messages just crossed. Yes, its Arri STD mount. So, no adaptors really? Shame. Thanks for the answer anyway. I better probably try to find adaptor to use Arri STD lens on my Sony DSLR camera. I think something like this, would work: http://forum.getdpi.com/forum/showthread.php?p=98467 And buy the adaptor to use Arri ST lens on my bolex, as I'm sure I saw this somewhere, not sure... Am trying to make the most of my equipment using adaptors, so I can use the le s around the other bodies whenever possible. Thanks for any info. flavio filho
I've found this one to use my Arri STD Lens on a Bolex C Mount camera: http://www.visualproducts.com/storeProductDetail02.asp?productID=1039&Cat=3&Cat2=49#bigPic The adapters I need are: Arri STD lens ADAPTER to C-Mount Camera Arri STD lens ADAPTER to NIKON F-Mount Camera NIKON F lens ADAPTER to C-Mount cameras. With these I 'm fully covered to use my lens (the possible ones) all around the bodies I have. Any help on brand, model, etc would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to find some really good new ones, if possible from the same manufacturer. Thanks, F

Premium Member Robert Ditto Posted November 11, 2011 Premium Member Share Posted November 11, 2011 FLAVIO, pm me, I have a Nikon F to C mount adapter for sale, cheap. The only reason it's cheap is because I got away from Nikon Lenses, it has hardly been used and is in pristine condition. Sincerely, Respectfully, Robert Ditto Producer/Director/Cinematographer
