Reuel Gomez Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 I've always wanted to do a film based on a certain character that is owned by a big comic book co./movie studio. Despite it being highly unlikely that I'd ever be able to do it 10 or 20 or longer down the road, is it bad to think about it? Is it bad to think about the plot or the costume design or the cinematography even when I'll probably never get the chance to do it?
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted September 13, 2013 Premium Member Posted September 13, 2013 I often times think about things beyond the realm of possibility. So long as it isn't distracting you from what must be done today what harm is there to dream about tomorrow?
Joao Papa Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 I trully believe that this is a good mental exercise for any director.
Alan Duckworth Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 My belief is that all creative ventures - a piece of music, a painting, a novel, and of course a movie - begin life as someone's dream. The hard part is turning the dream into a reality, that takes effort and/or money. But the day you quit dreaming.........
Brett Cliff Harrison Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 Dreaming about it, there's a chance it might not happen. Not dreaming about it, it definitely won't. Seems pretty clear.
