Hey everyone!

It's my first time posting here! My name is Marc and I'm an aspiring Cinematographer! I came here to post my work (Demo Reel) and It would be awesome to hear some opinions, feedbacks, critiques etc. All of the footage were shot with DSLRs. I'm serious about this stuff so I need to get better. I appreciate it! I'm also posting still images of what I recently shot! I guess you can just critique on the lighting for those ones. Do I have what it takes? Or should I just go and pursue other areas of film or in general? thanks!!

Hi Marc. I liked your exterior shots but your interior lighting needs works. A lot of the shots seemed rather flat, almost as if you were using only ambient light. Just because it's a DSLR doesn't mean it won't need any artificial light. You may be able to get away with that scenario more for exteriors. But overall you will find the more light you have to work with, the more interesting images you will be able to create.

Keep it up and welcome to the forum. :)

I would really urge you and for that matter any other cinematographers thinking of shooting on train tracks to please not do so.

There have been too many accidents in this context already and there needs to be a more serious attitude taken to the matter.

Thanks for the warning! I understand your concern but I would never shoot on a working train track. The one in the video is not being used and a lot of pedestrians actually usually use this is as a hiking trail.
