Commerical Camera Op Rates

I was just curious on well paid commerical how high do OP rates go?

What is a good range for operator rates on national commerical spots or high end branded content....this would be stuff with 6 figure or higher budgets with well established directors from notable production companies. In most cases for an operator doing handheld work.

It's about 850/10 in my neck of the woods but I'm sure others can fill you in on what they should be for big budget union features.

National spots with large budgets would likely be union shows, so the rates would be on the 600 rate card.

Thanks satsuki yea that sounds about right. Union rate cards arn't online and I think the rates go above that alot.

The rate cards are online but you must be a member to access that information. The operators that I work with get around $100/hour for commercials.

I guess the rates have gone up recently? I just got offered an operating gig for 1000/10 next week.

There are union minimums, but certain production companies pay different rates.
