JD Hartman
Better image of the label perhaps? Maybe an image looking into the housing? Could this be an architectural lighting fixture? Edited February 10, 2017 by JD Hartman

Matthew Parnell
Speculating here, but perhaps to achieve the light pointing down, using a head and lamp type that many not allow this to be done safely otherwise?
JD Hartman
DN Labs?, no header cable or ballast visible.... You think this is a 1200w HM because..... the seller says so? Could it be a Metal Halide or Mercury Vapor?
Shachar Alfie
Speculating here, but perhaps to achieve the light pointing down, using a head and lamp type that many not allow this to be done safely otherwise? seller info The mirror allows a 90deg downward beam if needed, it attaches to the ears of the light. Pars of its day would overheat if the head was pointed downward for too long, would cook the electronics in the back of the head.
Michael Rodin
It's an HMI PAR for sure. Yes you can't orient an HMI so that the ignitor is right above the globe - you'd cook the insuation there (and it's not the best place to damage insulation as there's a hot restrike circuit under 7-10-15kV). Does it come with that Lighmaker ballast? Edited February 10, 2017 by Michael Rodin
