For those with a glassware fixation, Duclos have made the second in what appears to be a series of videos on stripping down lenses. In this case it's a Rokinon 35mm Cine DS lens.

Very interesting stuff. Definitely something I'd want to attempt myself - certainly not with a lens that matters.

Thanks for the link Brian. Always interesting to see how another lens tech works. He kept putting the lens down on it's side and letting it roll on down to the edge of the desk before catching it, made me flinch every time!

 

From my perspective he left out the more interesting (and crucial) part, which is putting it all back together!

Dom. I wonder if letting the lens roll to a near-death experience is a method to create dramatic tension in what might otherwise be a dull technical presentation.
