Semi-auto assembly editing?

OK, so the part I hate most about making a video is the tedious process of copying all the takes to HDD, finding the right takes and assembling them on the timeline. I'm surprised there isn't (or maybe there is) some kind of device whereby you hit a button at the end of shooting a take you like that marks it for transfer, like an automatic version of the "print" command for film dailies. Only those takes get copied to the HDD along with the appropriate audio takes.

Some cameras do have a delete last take function.
