Bolex Gizmo... what is it?

OK all you Bolex wizards... what is it?... I've seen them before but never actualyl attached on a camera.

Holder for clapper light. Connects to the MST motor. Has no use today.

To set a synch mark on the film. When starting the MST a bulb is shortly lit in that device to fog two frames and simultaneously a puls is sent to the sound recorder. Later one has a beep and an image flash, so-called electronic clap. Works better than a traditional clapper board in very noisy surroundings or on delicate reports.
