Super 8mm film scanner

Sadly the only good scanners are very expensive. What you really need with super 8 is cleanliness and good optics. You won't get that with a cheap movie stuff scanner, it just doesn't happen. You're going to be spending $40k USD or so to get a decent scanner that can do Super 8 at any quality that's worth people paying for.

Hi !

I've build mine, that's the cheaper and best alternative I've found, I now can scan super8 and 16mm in 4k at home with a not too bad quality. You can have a look here for a lot of informations about how to build your scanner : www.kinograph.cc
