I am planning to get a camera to do a short film. But issit good enough to get the sony HDR HC1? or is better for me to get FX1 which cost almost doubled.

I also wish to know how much difference is there between the two cameras.

In order to know if the money is well spent.

thaxx :)

No one seems to be commenting on this camera. I have the same questions as you. However in just the last month or so the camera went from $1750 to $1250 from your super discount places.

Anyone have any info on this camera other than what's on the net?

Hi How Chee!

I use my HC1 for everything, no neeed for a more expensive camera.

In march I made a short with the Sony Z1U but IMO the HC1E generates a better image than the Z1U.

Sure it has bad low light sensitivity but it doesnt bother me.

HDV rocks and CMOS is my best friend!

Your pic is too wide. 'Side-scrolling is the Devil', said Alvin. Add a link if you have to, or as an attachment, but it's a pain to scroll the window back and forth to read the topic.
