Premium Member Keith Walters Posted April 22, 2021 Premium Member Share Posted April 22, 2021 (edited) https://www.shiees.com/product/transverter/?fbclid=IwAR0eruxbpFAkw4pkrGrllbDPQJu8Nabz5NKKdSx7gWlHyhjWoxRObu8NWwg This only just appeared in my Facebook feed. Has anybody else heard of it? Sounds too good to be true. The video looks suspiciously like CGI. There have been other "too good to be true" products advertised online that turned out to be scams. The best one was a DVD-VHS combo with implausibly good specs.... On closer examination you could see that the image wasn't of a real object. Premium Member Keith Walters Posted April 23, 2021 Author Premium Member Share Posted April 23, 2021 This one sounds more plausible @ US$300 for 1-99 pieceshttps://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/WINAIT-1080-1044p-super-8-roll_60699531087.html No supplier offers them for anything like $48, so it's got to be BS. Premium Member Tyler Purcell Posted April 23, 2021 Premium Member Share Posted April 23, 2021 They're all the same, just slightly different versions of the wolverine. I had one, total garbage, literally not even worth discussing. Projector and iPhone (which de-flickers) would work better.
Premium Member Will Montgomery Posted April 23, 2021 Premium Member Share Posted April 23, 2021 Yep, it's the Wolverine. Maybe at $47 it's worth it?? Maybe not. It will just make you mad at how crappy it is.
Premium Member Frank Wylie Posted April 23, 2021 Premium Member Share Posted April 23, 2021 If you want 1080P MP4 files (when it works), then you are golden. From what I have seen online, customers don't seem to have much luck with it working for any extended period of time, and when it does, they are not happy with the output unless they think VHS is still the cat's meow... Yea I had a 90% failure rate. I'd get through maybe 10 minutes of scanning and it would fail every time. Not worth the aggravation.,
