Can SxS Cards be used in the AXS-R5 Recorder?

Hello all,

Deciding whether to purchase the internal 4k upgrade for my F5 or the AXS-R5 recorder. I don't have the budget to buy AXS cards, so was curious if SXS cards can be substituted if the write speed is enough, as online it says they're the same size? Can anyone confirm the size is the same?

I think the size is the same but that doesn't guarantee compatibility. I've tried using the SxS to XQD adapter and so many older cameras wouldn't even recognize it from a software angle.

True, thank you. I think I'll stick with the internal 4k, I was disappointed after getting one that the AXS cards still cost so much, because in 2017 when I bought my F3 the SxS cards had dropped in price to ~$200, now even less.
