Jannik Tesch Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Good day, I found that on eBay: P. Angenieux Retro-Zoom Fx0.76 for 15x I have some questions regarding this: Is this is some kind of focal reducer / speedbooster? It seems to be screwed-on / mounted at the front of the lens, right? This is not giving a lens a wider angle of view but instead reducing the diameter of the image circle, right? Is this for 16mm or 35mm P. Angenieux lenses? Can it be used on other zooms than the 15x by using the step-down rings? Thanks in advance! Jannik
Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted April 8, 2022 Premium Member Posted April 8, 2022 I think this is a wide angle adapter for the Ang 10-150 16mm zoom, turning it into a 7.6-114. It’s not a speed booster. Yes it mounts to the front. It would have been designed to work with that zoom but it may work on others, you’d have to test it to see. 1
Jannik Tesch Posted April 11, 2022 Author Posted April 11, 2022 Thanks, Dom! Do you know if there generally is a loss of light when using front wide angle adapters?
Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted April 11, 2022 Premium Member Posted April 11, 2022 No loss of light except a few percent from air to glass surface loss. 1
Hugo Malpeyre Posted January 30 Posted January 30 hello, anybody know if this would work with an angenieux 12-120mm (paired on my bmpcc og) ? thx
Hugo Malpeyre Posted March 6 Posted March 6 let me answer to my own question since i found out and maybe help others ; i have since found on of those retro fx0,76 angenieux wide angle converter (with a 72mm at the back) and it works with the 12-120mm 😉
