Good day,

I found that on eBay: P. Angenieux Retro-Zoom Fx0.76 for 15x

I have some questions regarding this:

  1. Is this is some kind of focal reducer / speedbooster?
  2. It seems to be screwed-on / mounted at the front of the lens, right?
  3. This is not giving a lens a wider angle of view but instead reducing the diameter of the image circle, right?
  4. Is this for 16mm or 35mm P. Angenieux lenses?
  5. Can it be used on other zooms than the 15x by using the step-down rings?

Thanks in advance!

I think this is a wide angle adapter for the Ang 10-150 16mm zoom, turning it into a 7.6-114.  It’s not a speed booster. Yes it mounts to the front.

It would have been designed to work with that zoom but it may work on others, you’d have to test it to see.
