Aaton XTR Prod - Magazine question

Hi everyone, 

 

I have 2 mags for my XTR and recently noticed that one of them is missing a small triangle part. Mag "A" has it and mag "B" is missing it.

 

Is this something that I should worry about and try to fix or its fine without it?

I've never used the XTR but it looks to me like a loading guide, to ensure the film end feeds in the right direction. You may have some difficulty loading but it's not needed for normal running.

But don't take my word for it.

This guy from about 5:50

 

is just using it as a guide to get the film onto the sprockets.
