Hi. If you are not in a big hurry, maybe I have something that would interest you. I recently started my own DI service, but since we are in the phase of testing and tunning the scanner (it is a used unit so we have to veriivy this) I can offer you a free service. There is a 3k or 4k anamorphic setup in scanner's console - I m sure of that. The deal is simple, I will use your shots to show the capabilities of of our scanning system, and you will have scanning for free. But as you can see the last one that was focused properly (but sill has the bandings from dirt) is quite nice. My 16mm kit is for sale now: cameras: - 1x Kinor 16CX-3M body plus non synced motor - 1x Kinor 16CX-2M body plus crystal synced (25fps) motor motors: 1x non crystal synced motor, but gives a pilotone signal 1x crystal synced motor 25fps (easy to change into 24fps) optics: all russian Lomos: 1 x 10-100 plus two x0.75 attachments and set of rear filters 1 x 12-120 1 x 6 mm wide angle f1.8 2 x 10 mm 1 x 15 mm 1 x 75 mm 1 x 100 mm 1 x 150 mm (all primes are in normal speeds but currently cannot remind myself the stops) additional included gear: - two batteries (used 6 times, camera run for about 1 hour with one battery) and charger - one power supply plus cables - five mags: 2x120m plus 3x30m - rear and front caps for optics, filters, magasine caps etc... bonus: 10 x 30m of Fomapan reversal B&W 100ASA stock Camera's were used by me not too much (run for about 500 meters of stock). Before first shooting they were tested and cleaned by an old and experienced guy form Polish Film School in Lodz that runs a camera department there. All gear for sale have wear signs but none of this signs affect quality of shooting. All optics are checked by an optician and of course while they were used for shooting (one 10mm prime was never used) First camera was brought from US (california) from filmmaker Roco Belic from Wadirum productions and second camera was brought from Germany from Ole Dost. Additionally for almost all of these gear are both hard and soft cases. Price is around 2500 USD plus shipping from Poland. If buyer is located in europe or russia or asia, we can think about bringing the whole kit to his/her place by myself, but buyer covers all costs, buyer can also pick up the set here in my lovely Poznan city in Poland (its truly the most preferable way) I can scan and send frames from both reversal and negative (color and B&W) stock shot with this cameras. The telecine unit arrived, unfortunatelly no use with that, pity for my waste of money :( I decided to try your way with the DIGI-SLR-style setup since after some rough calculations speed of scanner based solution is much to low. And I got this, taaaaa-daaaa: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=320291042012 It is in perfect condition and is able to run 1 frame per second (it has a film cooling system :) So now I will try to couple this with trigger of some low end digital camera for tests, that will put pictures directly into my computer. No, it has not. It comes from abroad so probably it will take few more days. I'm really excited about this :) And by the way, Paul, passed thorugh your mails about your scanning rig, what do you think about using a Plustek 7200 series scanner as a scanning device? In case I would not be able to use the unit I'm waiting for I was thinking of making a custom one stem ultra16mm movement that would replace the film adapter that goes together with this scanner. Some more software for batch control and voila :) what do you think about it?

for modern DSLR max is about 10000, but as far as i know here in poland when you buy a camera in bigger store you get warranty for the whole camera for 2 years :) p.

Seller claims it is a transfer unit, my all hope is that it is capable of frame by frame mode, so I could hook it up with DSLR to make home 4k-5k telecine and then modify one of my cameras to ultra16. So, once again, any ideas how it works? I paid this today and since it will come from germany there are still a few days to wait for having it in my hands. regards Pawel

To get a tourist visa, I need an Invitation. I'd love to visit a folk from Califronia who invites me, buy not only a beer but also met for a long talk, since I'm trying to break into the film with my first documentary, and ocassionaly I will meet with some otehr people while I'm in california.
