  1. It doesn't really says what kind of bulb model but as you said, it's a 100W/12V bulb. I guess it's a common one since the size is comparable to that of my Chinon projector I sold months ago. Unfortunately, I'm in sunny Mexico City but my UK associate may help me find the bulbs if you supply me the list of dealers just to be sure. I can find bulbs in Mexico too anyway but it's good to know options. Thanks a lot!
  2. Hi all, I found in my builing junk an Eumig RS3000 and I don't even know what's it's name but instead of projecting the film you can see it on a monitor. It works fine, it looks like new but it has no lamp. Does anyone know where I can get that lamp or even what lamp is it? Thanks!
  3. Giles, Thanks a lot! This was the tip of the year! Sometimes it's very difficult to shoot with the lightmeter when you need things fast and this link gave me a new perspective. Antonio PD: Nice to see you over here.
  4. I have an Elmo 1012 and I was wondering if Ektachrome 64T exposes correctly on auto exposure mode. If you know any other camera that exposes correctly in auto mode, I'll be very thankful if you share that information. Thanks!
  5. I hope you can help since my students got a near new Bolex 160 Macrozoom and we are still figuring out how to make a correct exposure. Does it have manual exposure? I really hope you can help since their project is due in a couple of weeks. Ah! They're using 7266 film by the way!
  6. Matt, do you have by any chance the letus web link? Thanks!
  7. Hey Ernie, Read my post on this same section. I have an Elmo 1012 S-XL for sale and it runs great. If you have any other inquiery, please don't hesitate to ask: antoniobunt@hotmail.com

    Reliable HDV

I am looking for an HDV camcorder reliable enough for a wide variety of personal projects. I want to make some tv works, features and docs on my own. I was thinking about a Canon HV-20 because I'm a little short on cash. What other cameras are worth trying? Thanks!
  10. Does somebody know if there's any way to fool the automatic exposure controls on auto-only cameras to get good exposure? Then telling the lab it's push or pull process? Some cardboard notches? Epoxic modeling clay? Some students of mine are eager to get their hands on Super 8 and they can get lots of cool cameras on flea markets even cheaper and video cameras. Thanks!
  11. Yes, 2-perf is an option but still out of price range. I was supposed to fram 16 like 16:9 on the viewfinder, I thought it was a waste of raw stock but I guess that's the only answer, do you have any measures on height to frame with the tape? Thanks!
  12. I've been doing some math but there's no way in hell I can get money for a super 16 film camera and I am running out of resurces so I can borrow one. So I am thinking in buying the sturdy K3 or a Canon Scoopic. I am thinking also about complementing it with an anamorphic adapter so I don't get the square-shaped 4:3 native to 16 mm. Any thought about this? Any suggestions? Thanks!
  13. I believe DuArt in NYC and Monaco in San Franciso still do this blow up. Check their web sites. I believe the National Film Board of Canada in the Montreal branch had a lab but I'm not sure. Perhaps the LIFT (Liaison for Independent Filmmakers Toronto) may also be helpful.
  14. Although I rather shoot super 16, I can't afford it and I already have an Elmo 1012 with a crystal sync generator. My main problem is that I can't really seem to get the Free Focus function on the camera and the instruction manual doesn't really cover a lot about that feature. Somebody knows about it? Thanks!
  15. My sight is going bad to the extent I need a cornea transplant but I need to make a film. Can I use hyperfocal distance to focus or I just better leave this career? How does hyperfocal distance work? Thanks!
  16. The Arri S is a tank, a very sturdy and relaible camera. Worked with it twice a long time ago and I loved the ergonomics and design!
  17. I support that motion. Great idea to let opinions and frustrations out in the air (or in the web for that matter!)
  18. Maybe it's a dumb question but, can I use some kind of DIY contraption or adapter to convert any incident metre on a spot one?
  19. Are there any 200 ft. magazines for the ACL 2? Or can ACL 1 ones be adapted? Thanks!
  20. I don't know if you checked this site already: http://www.geocities.com/russiancamera/16mm/alpha.htm But if you have any doubt, e-mail Olex, he's the Guru of Russian equipment. Hope the info will be helpful.
  21. I don't go out that much and I don't like supermarket so I don't know, what kind of Super 8 film Wal-Mart process???
  22. Beautiful weed! I can't feel better! Thanks! LOL!
  23. I don't like to talk a lot about upcoming projects but I am in dark over this one. Does anyone know film co-op's in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand? Thanks!
  24. Guys! Remember me? LOL! I can't afford the 758! Are there any other choices?
