  1. Hey all, I've got some doubles of lenses that I currently own, and therefore they are up for grabs. All of the lenses (save the 50mm) have focus gears, and aperture and focus are smooth. No scratches on the glass, and comes with front and rear caps. The 22,35,75 will work on a Canon DSLR, but the 50mm has a large rear element and it will hit the mirror. 75mm OKC1-75-1 T2.2 $650 50mm OKC1-50-6 T2.3 $350 35mm OKC11-35-1 T2.3 $200 (There is oil on the glass, hence the cheap price. Does not normally affect image until you let it flare. When it flares you get a rainbow colored flare....see screencap below). 22mm OKC3-22-1 T2.4 $550 Price break for whole set: $1500 I haven't posted much on here in recent history, so it's probably best to email me at rob.m.neilson@gmail.com to get in touch. Thanks! I'm having problems attaching the photos here, so please visit the thread on dvxuser for the stills: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?270599-Lomo-Cinema-Prime-Lenses-Oct-19-Mount&highlight=
  2. If you would be interested in splitting up some of your primes for the package I might be interested. What lenses do you have? Please email me at rob.m.neilson at gmail dot com since I'll be on a shoot all weekend and not check here. Thanks!
  3. Anyone have a round front up for sale? I'd be looking for a 35mm or 50mm and I have a 35mm Square Front in OCT-19 mount if anyone would want to work a trade plus cash.
  4. If anyone has Lomo roundfront's in 35mm or 22mm in OCT 19 mount please drop me a line. Would love to get my hands on one. Thanks.
  5. If anyone has any lomo square fronts available, please let me know by PM or email. Thanks!
  6. Have any footage from this camera I could see?
  7. I strongly suggest that you bring them to small claims court. I successfully won a case earlier this year from an employer that didn't pay me. I got the full amount I was owed, plus interest, and my court costs! however since it's a small amount of cash it may not be worth sitting in court for 4 hours or so, but it would teach them a lesson.
  8. Your going to blow the car lighter jack with a 1k off the inverter for sure. I blew one using an inkie in the past! Inverters are rated at their max wattage I think, and at that they will only be able to stand the max load for 15 minutes or so at a time. Lately Ive had alot of success using duracell portable 600w powerpack inverters (they have a built in light and radio too to play with) and they have been great. I've only used them with kino flo's but they have not let me down. If you search amazon you can also buy a Xantez 1500w powerpack to run a 1k off of, however I would assume that the 1k would sap the battery pretty quickly. (With the 600w duracell power pack, rated at 28 amp hours gets sapped in 23 minutes powering a 300w fresnel).
  9. Hey there...I've got a Mole Richardson 2k without barn doors that I could stand losing. How much would you offer for it? Please email me at rob.m.neilson@gmail.com since I dont go to this site every day. Thanks.
  10. Ive got my Shure FP33 Field Mixer up for grabs...looking to get $750 for it. Its in perfect condition and I used it on a shoot this morning to make sure everything is tip top. Email me at rob.m.neilson@gmail.com if youre interested! Thanks! I can email pictures as well....
  11. Thanks guys all good advice....I have a 15 year old splash bag that more than covers the camera. Im just going to cut some holes in it for the XLR and Monitor out and try to keep it in there all the time. Very good idea about marking off all the lens marks on the follow focus, obvious but I hadn't even thought of that. Id much rather be shooting this there in the fall or winter, but I gotta do what I gotta do!
  12. I'm going to be shooting a feature this summer, part of which will be out on location in the nevada and utah deserts. I'll be shooting with an HVX and a 35mm adapter rig...what would be the best way to protect my camera from the excessive dust. Thanks in advance.
  13. Softie is sold, but the fresnel is still up for grabs.
  14. please email me at rob.m.neilson at gmail dot com....since Im not checking these boards daily. Thanks
  15. Ive got one Mole 2k Fresnel, and a 2k soft light up for sale. NYC pickup is best, but I will ship if buyer pays the fee. I bought these used off craigslist a year ago and they are in great condition.
  16. Perhaps I'll pick up 4 of the 3x16 units...mount two on the dash, and two on the visors. That should be able to get me in the ballpark of 2.8... It seems like christmas or rope lights might be a good way to go as well and mount them on the ceiling. We're going to be using a conversion van so there should be plenty of headroom to mount fixtures.
  17. Hmm this may be the way to go...Ive already got a 400w inverter. With the inverter and battery belt in a backpack we should be able to work pretty well on the run. Thanks again! I also looked into using two 3x12 rosco lite-pads mounted on the dash for our car scenes. Ill have to test it though and see if it will be enough light to use with the brevis. Id love to get an f-4 in night car interiors, but I seriously doubt Ill get that much light out of these.
  18. Those gyoury lights actually look perfect...BUT their website says they plug into a ballast box. On their site they don't have any ballast for sale (as far as I can see) and it looks like they will plug into a kino flo ballast box. That would be perfect for the car interior stuff that we're shooting, but is it possible to wire those lights directly to a battery belt without a ballast box? What kind of connectors would those need? It looks like their an 8pin cable, and if my memory is correct the battery belts that I can rent are four pin connectors...Is there a step down cable that I can get for that? Thanks for all your help!!
  19. So I'm going to be shooting a run and gun feature this summer on the road. We're using the Brevis flip and the HVX so needless to say our low light capabilities will not be too great. I'm going to look into getting a ring light that will fit on our rig, but we're going to really be depended on fill from china bulbs on boom poles. When we won't have the space to run it off a cable how can I get the china bulb to run off a battery belt like a sun gun? Do any companies have any fixtures for this? Or is there a cable that I can plug the fixture into and then run to a battery belt? We're going to need 150-200W bulbs on a dimmer... Anyone used anything similar while shooting on the fly?

  21. So I've cut my film, and matted the footage as 2:35:1. I offset the image for proper framing and when I export it looks like the picture has been zoomed in. I exported to stream a quicktime file in compressor with the 2:35:1 matting on. When I exported normally without that setting my picture was stretched. What do I do to export a file that has my 2:35:1 matting and offsetting preserved from my FCP 5 timeline???
  22. I think I remember reading something about M. Night Shlamalammadingdong refusing to re-shoot a short shot that was out of focus. But instead spent over 1 million of the budget by having every pixel of that shot sharpened!
  23. I learned not to waste doing too many takes on a film. Especially on jib shots
  24. This would be really usefull to know as well....Im planning to matte a short Im shooting on the HVX in a month to 2:35 and it would be really nice if I didnt have to tape off the lcd screen.
