  7. Not sure this will help, and it is not that cheep example. In the last short i did, i had more than a few top shots. Ill attach some photos how it was done. you will not see much from this photo, ... but here is one more. my key grip could explain it better, but i believe it was, small hand on the panther classic, with a low head on the end ... camera was tilted down.
  8. and another very important thing is, are you designing light for one or more cameras? is it a single camera shot, or multicamera?
  9. What about this one? It is still, one of my favorites , directed by Jonas Akerlund. I really like this one too, it is really nothing special, just one band playing their song, but it has some spooky atmosphere. directed by David Fincher, DP was Allen Daviau. Very nice cinematography i have to say. Directed by Paul Hunter I am a big fan of Michel Gondry. There is an interesting DVD with Gondry's interviews about making some great music videos. and even more interesting making of --> This is great video done with MILO. Still talking about Gondry And a making of Ill think of few more i believe... this is what is now on my mind :) Hope you will enjoy :)

  12. Showlight 2009 will be held in Glasgow at BBC Scotland's new state-of-the-art headquarters on the banks of the River Clyde, which boasts the latest broadcast technology and is the biggest TV recording space to be built in Scotland and the second largest TV studio in Britain. With registration on May 16 and the papers programme from the 17th to 19th, Showlight 2009 will be of interest to anyone involved in entertainment and architectural lighting design. The BBC's high definition equipment will be utilised to illustrate papers from all genres of lighting, including theatre, film, event, education, architecture and, of course, television. Organising committee chairman, Ian Dow, said: "The studio complex houses the UK's most advanced broadcast studios and production facilities: the new technology has enabled a move away from tapes to a digital file-based system that fully integrates television, radio and online. Showlight 2009 will be a marvellous opportunity to see all this technology in action." http://www.showlight.org/ Is anybody coming? Ill be there all four days, if anybody is passing by it would be great to catch up . VR

  16. no problem :) in some strange kind of way it is my obligation as cinematography students representative to help you. if you have any other Q till both of us are waiting for the final info, be free to ask. VR
  17. hey, well, to say it this way, i have started to look for info, because there were no international students on ADU for now, they have to double check. for now (now comes a good news) it is or free/ or it costs around 1000 euros a year. also you would have to pass the entry exam. VR
  18. Hello. I am ADU student on MA in cinematography. i am not sure about the cost of the study for the international students, but i could take 5 minutes and go to the student service and ask for you. for the domestic students it is free of charge. where r u from? if you have any other questions be free to ask. another thing, please use your name and surname as a username on this forum.
  19. you have nice shots here, i have to say something on the technical side, it is important not to have it in wrong aspect ratio, and another problem is, that it is noticeable interlaced. but, both of this problems are easy to fix ;) it is really important to have it technically "perfect" because this is your promotion, and you dont want people to think you got it wrong.
  20. this is not bad my friend, not bad at all.
  21. well i am testing and making experiments with my reel, any suggestions would be great. thank you http://vimeo.com/3793782 :)
