not sure if it matters if the plans ahow up like i said everybody wants rolls royce for the price of a box of crackers and they think thats rational thought. can it be hd for 2-3000? probably? but multiple formats? smaller than a minox? come on.

I have a friend looking into getting the plans for a modern super8 camera. There is a set out there and he is doing what he can to get them. I think people ask for way too much though. So it is supposed to be able to fly to the moon and back for ten bucks is what I read here. expect it to have variable shutter, many framerate options, c mount, reflex viewing and pin registration. To expect it to do more formats than super8 1000 euro is unreasonable. It has to be super small and super light. Well it has to be as big as it has to be and as small it can be without compromising strength and functionality. What do you people expect? Its funny because statistics show that the cheaper a car the more customer complaints the manufacturer gets. So the people with the lambos dont freak when there are little issues. Maybye we should try a similar attitudewith this. Hell we should be happy that there are people trying to do this and bring it in at a reasonable cost etc.

the norris unit would be nice to find. i really need a proper system because i will need three projectors so i dont want to do a complex system. the cartridge system wont fit the situation. thanks to everybody who helped out.

just to confirm, Im assuming you have moved from a non-reflex to a reflex camera. one main point to know with rx lenses is that they are designed to work optically with the reflex cameras. using non bolex rx labeled lenses means the lens was not designed to take the reflex prism in mind so the image quality will suffer.

can anybody tell me what super8 prjectors had the endless loop option? im thinking of an experiment that I might want to do so I might be looking for some.

not that at all i just wanted to make it clear the crazy ratio isnt for me. i dont like masking. if it can be dome id actually rather get an h8 gate and machine it etc. I want to do it right. not sure if sideways or top bottem is better. i think it just might work well. low speed, crazy idea. fairly cool.

anybody know any optical engineers? i have a question concerning glass that goes into the engineering of the things.

im actually not trying to have 2.6. once cropped it would fit 1.77 which is what hdtv is. i just want to play around with something that is between 16mm and super8. im also wondering if an h8 gate can be machined to the correct dimensions and if it would fit as a replacement.

from what i understand they all should work but i have concern with the 50mm. id get a reflex lens.

you can try taking it to a place that repairs electric motors. youd be surprised what they can do. the things can have their windings rewound for not a lot if thats the case. they are just electric motors at the end of the day.

not much of a mystery there, it appears to be a 2a. i have one that wroks fine that i was going to get rid of. the valuable part in that auction was the studio motor and its base. i had one and sold it.

did any of the reflex cameras have double sprockets? and did they also have the 1:1 shaft?

the best and easiest to deal with will be the switar RX lenses. somebody mentioned that a non corrected lens needs to be f2 at the maximum, the reality that ive seen from friends shoots and read around is f2.8. that kind of sucks imho. the best of those is the preset lenses which you can buy in either single coating or multicoating. i have a spare 75mm that i will be selling if you are interested.
