  1. Really great footage!!! lovely camera compact perfect for all these shots skate/car etc. Btw are the interior shots shot with natural light only or did you use any lighting setup? They are great.! Isn t it possible to manually spool fuji in 200 feet reels? i thought the only difference is that the emulsion is inside out?
  2. Hello! you might find this usefull http://www.cinematography.com/forum2004/in...c=30826&hl= pm me to email you the manual mine unfortunately is non reflex so im stuck with a dogleg lens, which im having difficulties to find. about the cables and the connector dont bother with the original one.bypass the original and use one of you taste. its very fun to shoot with these
  3. Very nice!!! @3:59 down left and right theres some very slight vignetting. but once you get to watch sk8 in that short noone will notice it ;-) keep it on and do more! alex
  4. Hello George you have pm! (not sure because it doesnt appear in my sent messages folder)
  5. Hello! When i was searching about the power supply to test a Locam 16mm camera running at 28v DC i was i advised to avoid any 240V to xxV transformer because there are more things to know about the motor than just the voltage and the Ahmps consumption. I not that good with electronics but to find an 8volt battery is the best not to fry your motor. If the fake film roll is sticky do not run it through your camera. You will have junk stuck to the mechanism. Im not into arri s i have a bolex but i think that you will have to adjust the viewfinder according to your sight and yes to be grainy. If you are in Athens pm me. we can meet and play with our cameras. Im not an expert im a beginner in 16mm too but still i have shot some film and maybe could help you.
  6. Hello again! Thank you for your answers! Both films have the same effect at the same level. Also both films have a nice fine grained image throughout the whole 50feet so it isnt a spiral loading issue. I agitated for the first 30sec and then 15 secs each minute. Very useful info Mr Simon Wyss. I had noticed the gray film base issue but most of times when projecting highlights (reversal film) came out fine. My impression was that in underexposed scenes the gray effect ate all the lighten parts of the image but they were underexposed anyway. Unfortunately no Fomopan R in super 8. As an alternative i was thinking Orwo 54 from Wittner but i don't like the idea of loading super 8 cartridges myself. (jitter issues ??) I will scan several frames later to post them. Later on im refixing and see what happens.
  7. A sad update.( i cant get away with it in transfer) I projected one film and the near the perfs and some area more is normal. The rest is green. So i guess the spiral reel protected it somehow. So what happened? Any ideas?
  8. Hello I processed 2 tri x as negative last night and they came out green. It looks like the base is green, otherwise the negative is good. I used the HC-110(4.5min 24C) and Ilford rapid fixer(10min 24C). all my previous films have been developed that way (aprox 15-20 so far) with no problems. I am 99% sure that it is a fixer problem but it was a fresh solution mixed from scratch and 10 minutes in. could anything else have caused that? could i put the films again in a fix solution fresh etc to make things better? thank you
  9. very nice!!! Kodak! Please release some 100D super 8 cartridges!!! Two color reversal and two b/w reversal stocks. Sounds fair! :-)
  10. Hello again. I have sent the manual to jacob thomas without the illustrated parts list. I will be away from the pc until the end of August. So when im back ill scan these also. If a sustained member would like to upload the pdf file pm me. About the cable it easy to hack it and use whatever you want. The wiring is in the manual.I found a deutsch connector cheap in Ebay and didnt have to mess a lot with wires. Unfortunately mine is a non reflex, but it came from a university and was well taken after. I have shot only 300ft and it works very nice (but noisy as it should i think).Never jammed and footage is steady!
  11. I have a manual for the Locam II and i 'm sure there are similarities with the locam III. I will scan it and give it to everyone interested. Also people at http://www.visinst.com are very helpful. They traced the history of my camera (where it was used etc) and gave info about it.But when it comes to supplies like cables etc their prices were way too expensive for my pocket.
  12. hello in http://www.hobby-lobby.com/lithium-polymer.htm there are some lightweight nice and relatively cheap LiPolymer batteries with high C rate too. Is it a good idea to power a locam with two pack of these connected? i ve heard that LiPoly batteries are a bit dangerous. thank you in advance for your help
  13. hello again. i hope you didn't misunderstood my question.i wasn't implying anything.i was wondering myself about that after my FM2 crushed after some years of moderate use and wanted to know the dslr 's threshold. :-)
  14. Hello I am wondering if your dslr is going to handle 4000 frames of a 100 roll Isnt it going to crush ?? i think these have a maximum number of shutter use.
  15. solid!!! the film threading path has scared me! out of curiosity is it easy to load?
  16. The cameras manual http://kameraundervann.no/MillikenManual/
  17. Some time ago there was a Bolex SBM being sold at ebay that apparently was in a metal bag with swamp like foam. The camera body looked like these ducks after a petroleum boat leak Bad situation and i would like to hear the comments of the guy who cleaned it. So the door compartment is a good case. You could diy repair but also i think its not expensive to have it repaired.
  18. This camera seems and feels weird when you shoot mostly super 8. Very lightweight, compact toy-like, and yes fun, with good results (as seen to the link of Mr Giles Perkins). I always end up buying super 8 film so mine is still untested. Great short by the way!! ;-)
  19. Ive had similar adventures with a locam 51 camera.I found a 19 pin deutsch connector and with a 30 volt battery its going to run. But i was wondering can i synch a light strobe (old one)with the camera? anyone that knows help is appreciated thank you
  20. Hey Gencer Hassan! Insist with that camera, study this forum and soon you ll start having great results! Dont go for a simpler one, but before that make sure your camera functions properly. And also heres a link where you can find the instructions manual of your camera in case you dont have it! http://www.mondofoto.com/manuals/ Alexandros
