  1. Hi guys, So recently I short ended some fuji vivid 160t and shot some SLR stills on the stuff, doing a variety of tests. I now want to get it scanned. Because of the size of the negative being closer to that of vista vision I need to get it scanned somewhere that can handle it. I have decided to use Hasselblad's X5 scanner and wondered if anyone knew what I should set it to to the equivalent of a 10-bit log scan? What contrast settings on the X5 scanner are equivalent to a 10-bit log scan on say a spirit 2k?
  2. Hey man, I was wondering, I know that some cameras have physical shutters and others don't. The D 21 does, and I know this helps eliminate the rolling shutter issue you get but is this the secret to getting closer to film look with a digital sensor in capturing images. I have always understood from most video that the nostalgic feel you get comes from the 3-dimensional characteristic of film grain but I have also heard frame rate is among others that help get you closer to it, but D-21 gets so close to "the look" or feel that I wonder if the shutter is a major step in getting that overall film feel? Any feed back s greatly appreciated thanks! Samuel Stewart
  3. I'm also wondering actually just about using cook s4(35mm format) primes, and 100m on a high speed sr2 and wondering if it will leave room for the mattebox and follow focus? I know that 35mm wide angle lenses on the sr2 dont fit the forward rails but do cook s4s primes fit.
  4. Just wondering here. I loved the look of the grain structure in the great escape, what stock and print was that shot on? I'm guessing a tecnicolor print?
