  2. I have looked at David Stumps , he says that speed of camera/sensor is 200asa , that seems a bit slow to me , gonna need a lot of light for interiors . John Holland ,London.

  6. I think you will find grain very same to Kodak , Fuji just has such better range of tones , flesh tones is just the best , anyway whats wrong with a bit of grain ?? Can make images look sharper !! . John Holland ,London
  7. Hi, saw this film last week, not very impressed by story, acting [ Russell Crowe is wrong for the role] or direction ,but it looks beautiful , at first i thought David Waktin had come out of retirement to shoot it. John Holland ,London.

  16. I shoot all my home movies on 1960 sovcolor standard 8mm , and have them blown up to Todd-A0 . My family never come round :) John Holland , London.

Yes . if sun is very low , but still turn talent so they are back lit with that sun , if possible , think you ought check out some more David Watkin movies , do have the dvd of Catch 22 ? great directors voice over with Stephen Soderburg , spend most oftime talking about when the director Mike Nicols was allowed to shoot by Watkin , if i remember between 2.30 -3.30 afternoon in Mexico . That was it on exteriors. Cant do it to that to that extent now. But have to make a stand sometimes . John Holland .London

  20. Never heard that about Dp s sun path problem . Think they should watch "Zulu" early 60s Super Techinrama70 , all they had was reflectors and a few battery lamps. Stunning images. John Holland . London
  21. I had this camera on my shoulder at the 2005 B.S.C show at Elstree , loved it , never had opportunity to shoot anything with it , but love anything Arri do , have a feeling this is the one. John Holland, London.

  25. Off subject ,but my Panasonic 32 inch flat screen CRT packed up in June , just went black screen when my daughter was watching Wimbledon. After about two months i got it fixed ,which Panasonic paid for even out of warrenty , it turned out to be dry joints , guy who fixed said it had been asembled in E.U. and solder is not allowed to have lead in it anymore ,and subsitute is crap !! what a load of bollocks .
