Will shooting 60p fill up your media card faster than shooting 24p? I would assume so since you are recording more information. Also it seems like the h.264 compression is less compressed than the avchd compression. I cannot record nearly as long with my 32gb sd card on my T2i than I can with my Panasonic HMC150. It seems like I am only able to record for about 30-40 minutes with my t2i before it fills up whereas I can record for much longer with my HMC150. Any insight on this? Joel

I just bought 3 new Kingston 32gb SD cards for my t2i and none of them are working for video. One begins to record and after about 4 seconds of recording stops and says "Movie recording has stopped automatically", something that should only happen after 10 minutes of recording. The others have the red 00:00 next to the resolution and frame rate display not allowing any recording whatsoever. I have had these same cards before with no problems but these new cards are giving me trouble. Do they need to be reformatted in some way? Any help on this would be great. Thanks. Joel

This is true. Although I believe I exposed properly for their faces. If I did, than there is nothing I can do in a situation like this when I am not in control of lighting. Would ND filters have helped? Or closing down the iris and adjusting shutter accordingly?

This is a still from a wedding I shot with a t2i with my nikon 50mm f1.4. I was shooting at f1.4 with a 1/2000 shutter speed. As you can see, I'm trying to understand why there is an odd glow around the people, especially the pastor and the brides head. (yeah I know real happy bride huh?) ;) Anyways it doesn't look natural and if any one has insight into this I'd love to hear it. Joel

We use Media Composer 5 here with t2i cameras and yes you can import the native files, but we prefer to transcode all our t2i footage to uncompressed DNxHD using Mpeg streamclip. Also that is the only time consuming step, since we link to the footage using AMA, (avid media access) which is instantaneous. The avid workflow is solid for the DSLR. By the way, you can get Media Composer 5 for $295 as a student or educator. Try find Final Cut for that price. :)

Also, use a program like Mpeg Streamclip, (Free) to uncompress your footage to something your editing application will like. I transcode all of my t2i footage to the highest quality DNxHD codec for use in Avid Media Composer. The files are bigger but you'll be doing your processor a favor by not editing heavily compressed footage.

Flip screen is going to be a big plus for shooting high and low angles. But other than that, there's really no difference in video quality.

It isn't that the sensor is too big for the camera, it is that that particular lense is not suppose to be used on full frame sensor cameras like the 5d mark ii. This particular 18mm lense is for ANSI super 35 and normal 35 image format and would work better on something like the 7D. Only the CP.2 lenses with focal lengths from 21 - 100mm work without vignetting on the mark ii and are made for full frame cameras. If you need to use this lense without the vignetting problem put it on a 7D.
