  1. Other than the lack of steadycam shots during the running scenes, it was Very well done. (Cinematography) the actors didnt fit too well, but you work with what you have.. As far as the actual composition, it's great!
  2. The ending was pretty funny. The traffic control PA not controlling traffic was good too.
  3. An air compressor/tank and some old deployed airbags from a junkyard. They wouldnt open fast enough to hurt anyone, but fast enough to look good. Also, a jump cut to a filled airbag with the sound preceding it would probably go unnoticed as far as not being real.
  4. Ashley, I think you did an AWESOME job! It's very professional, and the effects worked well.
  5. Going for the middle east feel. used a little DV cam, will be using a hdr-fx1 for the real thing.
  6. Thanks for the info Troy! Yeah, I didn't think about posting it back one level, however I personally am interested in using it with a FX1. Thanks again! Lee

  8. Well, I'm leaning toward purchase. And Geez, if I Win the Lottery, I'd like to buy the KinoMatik http://www.abelcine.com/store/product.php?...id=1000020#tabs Holy Mackerel!
  9. Hi! For those who have used them, who makes the best and or most reasonable 35mm adapter? Thanks!
  10. I thought it was pretty darn cool, although I'm very observant, and Picky about details, and the one little thing that aggravated me was the fact that in the dolly shot near the beginning, we see them watching the "duck and Cover" film yet the Projector is NOT RUNNING! :) said I was picky...
  11. Awesome! I have a tiny one that I did for my son's friend at
  12. LOL THe fluid head froze? But what about the poor bastards that were being hit by FROZEN PAINTBALLS???
  13. Very good, although it's the FRENCH singing that frightened everyone off! ;)
  14. Man! That looks AWESOME!!! Great Job!! Can't wait to see the whole feature! (did you use fxhome stuff for the effects/keying/color etc?)
  15. Congrats to Paul Haggis (a great Director) for the Academy Nomination for writing "Letters from Iwo Jima" Paul is wrapping up filming "In the Valley of Elah" here in Albuquerque. Congrats also to Director Clint Eastwood!
  16. I thought it was very well done. The contrast between man's world and nature was great. The Shakiness, was actually kind of nostalgic, reminded me of some 70's stuff. Nice overall.
  17. I would think, (as I have seen it done that way many times) that it would be pretty easy to do CGI. Any dye you put into the water is going to be pretty hard to get out. The CGI portion is basically just colorization and a mask, possibly an animated one.
  18. That dolly setup was awesome! Where did you get it???
  19. Any tips for slo-mo stuff?
