Hi Mathew, If you want to get double exposures on super 8 look for those cartridge rewinders. They are often sold on ebay for twenty bucks or so.

Hi, I used to work for Wal-mart in the electronics department and I DID develop some K40 last year. The film is sent to Dwayne's in Kansas. It really does work! My experience was to just fill in the special instructions box at the bottom of the sendout form stating "super 8 film" then the specific developing process,either K40 or E-6. The photo employees didn't seem to know about this service, so I just filled out the instructions and waited. The special pick up service took care of the rest. It took about a week. Just make sure you DO NOT fill out a one hour developing envelope. Goodluck!

Hey there, I'm certainly no expert on projectors but it sounds like the S and N are for super and regular 8. Determining the type of films you have will determine the correct film path. You probably have some super 8 films if you purchased them together. As far as sound goes you might not have reels with sound striping. I would suggest going to this website to do more research. I think films are a delicate balance of many different elements. Unlike most movie goers though, I think most of us here are much more critical when it comes to movie viewing. The films I personally enjoy the most are the ones that marry all of these elements together and everything just gels. From the Performances, story, camera angles, lighting and direction, all of these things matter to me. One movie I can think of in particular is Carol Reed's The Third Man. The Photography, the acting and especially the music really tie everything together. Even though Orson Welles appears for mere minutes on the screen, I'm mezmerized when he pops up. Having said that, Films don't have to be technically perfect or flashy. For instance I really liked My Dinner With Andre. It won't appeal to everyone but I still love the dialogue and the premise is simple, two friends who haven't seen each other in a long time eat dinner together and that's it, that's the whole movie. I just love the cinema in general, doesn't matter what it is. I love sitting in the dark, waiting, watching the curtains unfold and kicking back and taking it all in.

Hi Stuart, There are B&W super 8 stocks still being made by Kodak. I'm not sure where you can purchase them in Australia but try this site super8 Good luck.

This is a great film by Carl Dreyer. Criterion has a collection of his works as well as The Passion of Joan of Arc on dvd. Check out Vampyre if you can, not very good as far as story goes but technically interesting, especially for the time it was made.

Look for a universal developing tank. These were made for developing 35mm, super8 and 16mm. They were made by a Russian company called Lomo. Try action camera in San Fransisco or E-bay. Good Luck
