go for cannon so when super 8 stops being a format you can sell it and move up to 16mm beauxlew is a waste in the small format becos of film type cancellations
-
Like singl8, super 8 will soon be nixxed so it may be time to selll your small amatueru cameras and go for a 16mm camera so this time next year i forsee no more super 8 on the market.
-
from what i have seen i will be avoiding 64 and going for fuiji velvia 50 looks like the best reversal projection film on the markte and no worry over camera meters as the film will be perfect for all cameras not like 64
-
with the high price o suer 8 film I would not use that camera with anything. Through it away and buy a beter super 8 camera
-
probablky becuase they want to avoid the stigmea of super 8.
-
if you in canada then set aside about 50dollars usa to cover the costs of 2 minutes of final film. if this scares you then you should consider minidv or high8.
-
for some reason they have ge3rman only - no englishj. That is to bad.
-
use the gneral analine factory camera you may get some more gals than with the chinon you know what they say about guys with big cameras...........

if your sears camera is a low light XL model then it is best to assume a 220 detgrees shiuttter. if it is not a low light xl camera, then base your light meter settings on a 160 degrees shutter. anotherwords if you are using a still camera light meter you have to account for the internal shutter speed of your camera. this is typically 1/40th of second for a regular camera or 1/30th of a second for a xl camera this is the shutter speed to use to get the right f-stoip
-
the sears camera may not read anthything other than 160 ro 40 asa so renoching may not be of any use
-
i dont think anyone is paniking over there VHS tapes and ebsides knowbody shoots super 8 that much that makes home movies people shoot super 8 to convert to the mac to make commercials

steadyfilm, depth of field issues and truer film look will be decideing factorsfor going 16mm
-
in most projectors the film loads on the right most side and the reel feeds from the bottom of the supply reel and the sprocket holes are facing out towards you as you look at the projector at the side where all the controls are there is also often a thingamobob that you usually hold down to make the film advance correctly through the gate

The top speed is dependent upon the power in the batteries. At that time, alkalines were just beginning to be developed.

Complex S8 lens questions for the Pro's out there.

the hairts on his arm seem less sharp than the watch hand on the girl. the giirl shot better. The flareing on the box is a strange thing. the blacks also looks a bit richer on the girl shot -
Isee ebay has a liecina special on it rightr now. very nice. sounds like it si the profesiponal camera. TGo woith that one. Item number: 7565525670

For a profesional look I would shoot with a boilex h16rexVI...rick solid registraton compared to home movie super 8 format. A wedding only happens once or twice so think big. super 8 is not up to the jobs
-
Does everey post have have the Special Leicina referenced? Seems like a falick sybol. Comparing 16mm to s8 is a but silly. 16mm is profesional, s8 is strictly for claymasion and other similar classwork. I have discovered the speical Lieicina is far too epensive with super 8 prodiuction coming to a halt for 10 months. latest rumousrs have china making all future film stocks but no s8.

I'd like to see the frame lines and sprocket holes - nice scene though. looks like a sicence fiction piece.
