Does anyone know how to disassemble the self regulating motor of the Arri 16S? I have the version without the external transistor. I would need to tweak the motor it a bit, camera only has ever been doing 22 fps with that one. (Camera works with other motors, so it's not the rubber coupler causing this) For motor disassembly, the knurled turn knob in the back must first be removed. In other pictures I found online, knob can be removed after removing a screw holding it in place. Mine does not have any screw or anything like that there. Is the axis threaded and the knob just screwed on tightly? Press fit, i.e. needs to be pulled off? Or does the whole axis need to be pulled out towards the back, after removing the roundish metallic coupler in the front? Thanks, Marc

Arriscan is pretty slow...how long does it take to scan a big film? Scoped screen recording of original on YouTube. It looks like this is how fast it scans. Look at the movement of the core hubs to get a better idea of speed. Just guessing, maybe 1 or 2 frames per second. Is it triple exposure HDR? <><><><> Daniel D. Canon FL 35mm f3.5 serial no: 23064 Canon FL 55mm f1.2 serial no: 20443 These two focal lengths have gorgeous golden flares, similar to the Canon rangefinder lenses. They are superior quality modded lenses, with solid Arri PL mounts, of a different standard to the ones that usually come up for sale on ebay. Both lenses have had their apertures declicked, with Simmod knurled front rings and custom designed front lens caps. Also included is a matching cap for a Canon FL 19mm f3.5 wide angle, a lens I previously owned, so the cap is included incase any buyer wants to also add that lens to the kit. Optex rehoused Canon FD 135mm f2 - Arri PL Originally made as an additional focal length for the Canon K35 lens sets. One of the best compact vintage cinema primes I've owned - small, light weight, with decent mechanics and usable wide open. Optics are clean, unmarked and bright. I'm only selling it as it's an oddity in my lens set, being an FD it doesn't match the other lenses I'm using day to day. It's one lens I'll happily keep if it doesn't sell, but I think it will probably get a lot more use with someone who is using Canon FDs or K35s as their main lens kit. I am shooting a scene in an apartment with two characters. I have an Arri kit of two 300w lamps and one 650w lamp. I have a chimera 3x4 softbox for the 650w, and Lee filter opal diffusion sheets. I also have two Neewer NL 660 bi-color panel lights. There are four practical lamps in the environment, and gelled fluorescents in the kitchenette. The walls are white, and because of the tone of the story, they will stay white and undecorated. In the screen grab I'm attaching the two Neewer panel lights are at 100% pointing up at the ceiling (behind camera). None of the Arri tungsten lights are on. If you can judge by the shot (14mm lens on a Canon 5d Mark 3.) the space is a small studio apartment. I will shoot ASA500T film and the lens opens to f3.3. Metered at ASA250 the practicals all give off f2.0 right at the bulb, and fall off to f0.7 after two feet from the bulb. The fill from the Neewers bouncing from the ceiling give an ambience of f2.0. I'm metering at ASA250 to slightly overexpose my film. The scene is a dark-comedy with one dark skinned actor and one light skinned actor. My concern is lighting my characters. We have a rehearsal soon and I will do lighting/camera tests with them on set. From these details, can you offer any advice? Happy to add information if needed! Thanks! apartment screengrab.jp2 -

Cooke Speed Panchro 18mm f1.7 T2 rehoused to Arri PL mount The lens has been modded to Arri PL - with a solid sleeve rehousing, that has added improved focus and aperture gears. The optics are in excellent condition for their age, bright and clean, with only a few faint cleaning marks. Some paint loss to the rear of the large front element (see photos), has no effect on the images. The is some paint loss and signs of corrosion on the front ring of the housing. Arri seh-360 remote head in hight dynamic mode, when panning, why do the till and roll axis rotate or work without maintaining level? Has anyone ever had this problem? It only appears in high dynamic mode and I tried calibrating the gyro but it didn't work. -

Hello Everyone! I'm a cinematography student from Thessaloniki, Greece and I wanted to try out for the first time the ARRI Alexa Plus as i feel like it suits the short film I'm working on very well. Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to work with a digital ARRI camera before. I'm absorbing every information I can find about the camera. I wanted to ask you people of this forum if you have any tips on working with this camera. Literally anything could be helpful. Something I have to mention is that unfortunately the rental house that I will rent the camera from is not from my city so it's almost certain I won't be able to have a look at the camera before the shoot. Also because of the very tight budget of the film we won't have the advantage of testing the camera anytime. Thank you in advance for any answer!

Lens dates from the 1950s and is in excellent used condition. Recently serviced by TLS and fitted with a standard TLS front cap. The optics are clean, but not immaculate. There are some very minor cleaning marks, but nothing that effects performance. Focus and aperture operate as to be expected. Comes with a generic Arri-S rear cap.
