Codex Onboard M Recorders 3010
Cody Flowers posted a topic in Cine MarketplaceI have 2 codex onboard m recorders (Cdx-3010) and 8 256gb drive packs, but no reader. I was thinking about seeing if anyone had a desktop reader (Cdx-5500) for sale. I'm also open to offers for the recorders if I can't find a reader of my own. The Codex M recorder can record uncompressed or wavelet cinema quality HD material plus audio and metadata onto a single, removable data pack. When shooting is done, it offloads material much faster than real-time. Can record 4:4:4 and ARRIRAW. Was designed with the Alexa in mind and was used in many feature films. Would love to use them or sell them to somebody that already has a codex reader.

SONY F35 + COMPLETE CODEX SYSTEM + ACCESSORIES
Igor Bertolucci posted a topic in Cine MarketplaceHello Everyone, After much thought I have decided to put my complete Sony F35 + Codex package up for sale. This is the only Sony F35 kit you will find to have a complete Codex Onboard Recorder package. This includes the Codex Onboard Recorder, 1 512GB + 3 256GB Data Packs, F35 Wet Dock, Control Panel, all necessary cable, the incredibly rare and expensive Desktop Transfer Station (DTS) and an ATTO ExpressSAS H3680 card inside a Sonnet Echo Express Sel case which plugs into any MAC with a Thunderbolt port. The Codex Recorder and DTS both have all available licenses activated: 12bit 444 uncompressed DPX, compressed JPG, ARRI RAW, CANON RAW. The DTS can automatically convert to ProRes422, ProRes444 or other formats on the fly for immediate editing of your footage. Also this is the only recorder that will record everything the Sony F35 can output: uncompressed 12bit 444 up to 30fps and uncompressed 10bit 444 up to 50fps - something that even the Odyssey 7Q cannot do because you need 4 SDI connectors for this last output. In addition to all this, Start/Stop recording can be activated via the record button on the F35. This Sony F35 is a complete OTTO NEMENZ kit with, in addition to other things, 2 custom machined cheeseplates, a machined top cheeseplate with integrated single 15mm rod mount and their spectacular viewfinder mount, which I updated with custom made 3D printed parts. If desired this can be easily changed to the original Otto Nemenz viewfinder setup. I have a great many accessories for sale to make a complete "ready-to-shoot" system. These include: Red One 18-50mm f2.8 lens in great shape, a Carl Zeiss Biometar Jena 120mm f2.8 PL mount lens, a Carl Zeiss Biometar Jena 80mm f2.8 PL mount lens, a Helios 44-2 58mm F2 PL mount lens, Vocas Wooden Handgrip with 150mm offset extender, an Ikan D5 monitor, Zoom H6 recoder with Gator waterproof case and Monster Digital 32GB SD card + Zoom SSH-6 Stereo Shotgun Mic, a 2 stage Chrosziel matte box with french flag, SHAPE 8000 quick-release V-Lock shoulder mount/baseplate, Sony VCT-14 quick-release tripod adapter, O'Connor 50D fluid tripod head, Lensse S5 Dual Follow Focus with speed crank, Lanparte V-mount batteries with charger, Tiffen 4x5.65 full spectrum IRND 1.2 filter, and other items for a truly complete setup. Since I have so many Sony F35 related items for sale I have created a price list with descriptions in PDF format that can downloaded from the link provided below. I believe I am offering these kits at very competitive prices. Everything is fully functional and in exceptional condition. As I said it took me 2 years of trial and error, testing various components, and finally finding the best parts for what I consider the Ultimate Sony F35 Set-Up. I have selected each component carefully and have taken exceptional care of them all. Photos and links to photos of many of my components can be found here below. Here is the link to the price list: http://www.igorbertolucci.com/SONYF35SALE/SONY_F35_Kit_Price_List.pdf As an incentive, with the purchase of multiple kits, or better yet the entire list of equipment, I am able to offer an even better price than the already very competitive prices you see in the price list. If you are interested in purchasing multiple kits please contact me. Shipping will vary depending on the kit(s) purchased and the destination. For the "Sony F35 with Codex Onboard Recorder Kit" WITH the Otto Nemenz hard cases you are looking at around $400 shipping in the US and $800 overseas. Without the cases this price drops substantially as they cases themselves are very heavy. I regularly pack and ship hand-crafted ceramic items all over the world and can pack all the equipment securely and safely in boxes without the hard cases, which will reduce the shipping cost to about half: ~$250 CONUS, ~$500 overseas. Shipping will be from San Francisco. Nagra 4.2 Wanted
Colin McGuire posted a topic in Cine MarketplaceHey everyone, I'm looking to rent or buy a Nagra 4.2 tape recorder. I'm shooting a movie and want to record sound on a Nagra as opposed to a typical digital recorder. If anyone has access to one or knows of one for sale/rent I would love to know! Thanks!
Hello, I am selling the following items. Payment by Paypal, pictures available on request. Here's my e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org Blackmagic Hyperdeck Shuttle 2 + Tilta 15mm support and V-Lock plate + Dtap cable It's HD 10bit Prores 422HQ (or uncompressed 4:2:2) recorder placed inside a dedicated Titla 15mm rods support with a V-Lock plate on the back. Great system, I used it with a FS100/700, C100, D800,... The connector of the SDI output of the Hyperdeck is broken. Everything else works perfectly. On the Tilta plate, only the Dtap is active, the other outputs never worked well (I taped them off to avoid using them). Included is a Dtap to DC cable to power the Hyperdeck from the V-Lock plate (it's the same cable for the BMCC). Price: 200 EUR + shipping (33 EUR to most countries) Blackmagic HDLink Little magic box that converts SDI to DVI/HDMI. Accepts 1DLut. Usually used in post-production but I used it as a 1D Lut Box on a camera via a HawkWoods 5V dtap cable. No AC power included (takes DC 5V 2.A, easy to find on Ebay). 7D Mark II - Recording RAW from HDMI
Devin Walter posted a topic in Camera Accessories & ToolsI had been using a Canon t5i for years and was pretty disappointed in it. I had sworn off DSLRs for video until I saw RAW footage from my friends 7D after he installed magic lantern. When i saw the specs for the 7D Mark II my mind was a buzz with the possibilities that where now open to magic lantern and i bought one thinking the ML community would be working on it... How sadly mistaking I was... The ML forums are filled with Mark II owners pleading for a Magic lantern port and ML devs basically telling them to go screw themselves... Now i'm stuck with a camera only slightly better than the one I had before with the only possible saving grace being the HDMI out. Supposedly it's a clean, uncompressed 8bit out but i haven't found much information on it or people recording from it. I don't like the idea of having to spend more money to bypass Canons terrible compression but it's better than nothing. But before I do I want to make sure i'm not wasting my time. Is the HDMI streem good enough to justify the cost of an external recorder. If so what recorders do you recomend? I've been looking at The Blackmagic HyperDeck Shuttle 2 which records RAW and the Atomos Ninja 2 which only records ProRes. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I'm going to at last get a monitor, not just for the bigger display, but for the focus peaking and zebras (to name just a couple of reasons why). Now the first question I need to resolve, is do I get just a monitor by itself (such as one of the SmallHD monitors) or get a combined monitor/recorder (such as from Atomos). Currently my situation is I'm using a Nikon D5200 plus a BMPCC that has just arrived with future upgrading plans of maybe perhaps getting a Panasonic GH4 in a few months from now. (slim possibility it might be instead a Sony A7S, or even a Samsung NX1. Could even be something that hasn't be released yet! I'm in no rush, I'll wait and see) So whatever I'm picking should be suited for what I've got now (& in the near future). Am thinking I've narrowed down my decision to Ninja Blade vs Ninja 2. I'm leaning towards getting the Atomos Ninja Blade (it is worth it over the cheaper Ninja 2???), for a few reasons (let me know if they're good reasons or not! I'm just presuming here): 1) I'm thinking using SSDs could be better than SD cards in the BMPCC (though not being able to record CinemaDNG raw to SSD is a pity) 2) having the ability to tag good/bad takes on set with AtomosOS seems like it could be a big time saver when doing rush edits. 3) no time recording limit with the Nikon D5200 (if I got just a monitor, I expect I'd then get a Blackmagic Design: HyperDeck Shuttle as well. Well, or maybe maybe wait a few months to see if NikonHacker removes the recording time limit on the D5200) But on the flip side the Ninja 2 is significantly cheaper.... so I wonder, is the older Ninja 2's screen satisfactory for pulling focus or is the Blade's high resolution screen going to be a huge bonus here? Probably the biggest point of confusion I have between the two is how the Ninja Blade and Ninja 2 run different version of Atomos OS (with the Blade having the newer version of course), as I can't seem to clearly find any info on what specifically is the benefits of that. (such as around workflow around tagging clips on set and then in post) Thoughts/criticism/suggestions? I'm all ears!
