  1. Hi everyone, I recently got a CHINON 877 MACRO. If you have its instruction manual along with illustrated figures, I'd be glad if you could scan it at 300dpi color. Sincere thanks for your effort and time!
  2. Hello! Wondering if anyone out there has a manual for a Moviola M-86 16mm Flatbed Editor? Or does anyone have any tips or know knowledgeable folks that may be willing to chat and share some advice re: maintenance & fine-tuning of these wonderful machines? Thanks! -Aaron Zeghers
  3. Hi, does anyone have a manual to the CP GSMO 16mm camera?
  4. Dear Members, I am looking for an English-language manual for Beaulieu 2016 Quartz. Scans will be highly appreciated. Sincere thanks!
  5. Hi! does anyone happen to have a maintenance manual and other documentation about Zeiss Oberkochen Opton 10-100 f1.8 (T2) (Arri-B // 16mm)? I converted my lens to s16 (12-120 T2.4) with Abakus (old optex) conversion kit. No vignetting with digital 2k. I've tried to search several times with different index words and and I even asked from Zeiss service. My lens has stiff focus and the focus helicoid needs a proper cleaning. 6. Dear Members, I am looking for the ELMO CINEMATIC SOUND DR-1 and SYNCHRO SOUND SA-1 manual scans. SR-1 and A-1 will be also helpful, I think. Any help is highly appreciated! Erkan
  7. Hi, I'm a photography student and I recently bought a Canon 1014E. I mainly shoot 35mm photos (I can work a film camera easy for stills) but I wanted to get into film making so I decided to start out with Super 8 because I assumed it would be pretty easy because of the role it used to play in home video making. I guess I was wrong! I've read the manual online a ton of times but all its done is confuse the hell out of me. I'm up to speed with the majority of the camera's functions but some of them still baffle me so I would appreciate some help! Being a student I have hardly any money so there's not a lot of room for error. This photo came from a previous post (so please ignore the arrows)!! I have 2 main queries regarding operating the camera and I expect that they'll sound incredibly stupid to someone with experience but I am COMPLETELY new at super 8 so I have no idea - Please forgive me! here is a link to the manual for reference - http://www.manualslib.com/products/Canon-Autozoom-Electronic-1014-3015685.html 1. The film i have is Vision 3 50d but the camera's automatic system does not recognise this. This problem has been answered here: http://www.cinematography.com/index.php?showtopic=61842 however I am not sure about what it means to over exposing by a 3rd of a stop. In more basic terms, how can I shoot on my 50D so that is not over exposed? 2. When I look in the viewfinder and the camera is in full automatic mode there is a meter with an aperture scale at the top., and red at both ends. Is this the light meter (ie when the needle is over to the right it is over exposed, left under exposed etc?)? Or does this simply show me what the auto aperture is for a correct exposure, meaning that even when it is far to the right but not in the red it is still a mid range, correct exposure? I usually shoot with a Canon AE-1 within my photography and its meter is very different, hence why i'm confused. 3. I feel so silly even asking this question (it pains me so hard as a photographer) but in auto mode in cloudy daylight the needle on the meter inside the viewfinder is ALWAYS in the red as far as possible on the right side of the spectrum. How can I change the exposure without making everything too technical? I understand that the switch with the dot, 2 and 4 next to the FPS have something to do with exposure however the manual conveyed this section in a way that was very confusing to me. How do I correct the exposure? If anybody could help i'd be so grateful! I've been waiting to get my hands on this for ages so i'm eager to get shooting ASAP. Thank you so much!
  8. I just bought a Sankyo XL-400S from eBay. The problem was that it wasn't included with any manual nor were there any instructions to access one. The first problem is how to load the batteries. I know it takes six 1.5 V batteries, but loading it is a bit of a problem. I'm assuming it's loaded in the handgrip, but it seems like the batteries need to be loaded in a special holder and then stuck into the handgrip. Of course, this is just my guess. I'm wondering if this is true. If it's true, does anyone know where to get the battery holders? Also, does anyone know where to access the manual. It seems like my best bit is to pay $10 for a manual. Also, off topic, but does anyone have recommendations for editing equipment? eBay has a few Kodak presstape splicer kits for a pretty good deal, but I need more recommendations.
  9. Hi Folks! Does anyone have the instruction manual of Silma 8S macro zoom camera? Scans will be highly appreciated. Best Erkan
  10. Hello everybody, I was wondering if any of you have any suggestion for me about a cinematography manual that covers the most recent topics like sensors, color spaces ect ect. Thank you so much, Davide
  11. I'm creating a Super 8 booklet for novice filmmakers. The idea is to explain what Super 8 is, showcase what it can do, and to cover all the basic steps, so that someone with no knowledge could come out with an understanding of how to film using Super 8. Also, since its been awhile since I've shot on Super 8, this is a way for me to get back into Super 8. Its for a college project, but I'm going to release it online as a free PDF afterwards, and hopefully it can be a help to anyone who wants to learn about Super 8. What I really need are stills and photos (of Super 8 cameras, film cartridges, etc.) for the manual, and I'm wondering if any of you would have material you wouldn't mind being used. I really want to showcase what Super 8 can do, so I want to have some stills/screenshots. Anyone who helps would get full attribution in the manual, plus a small byline or paragraph where you could plug a project, website or service. And...if you have any feedback or thoughts about this manual, I'd love to here your thoughts on it!
  12. Hi, i got this beautiful BOLEX H16 EL, MKIII, first of all please confirm that if its MKII or MKIII Version, ? Well i am having a issue to start this camera, i have managed to rebuild the battery with more powerful cells, and now its full ready, when i attach it with my camera, and press the shutter, all i get is 2 red lights with a (- and +) in the viewfinder, and after little time, the camera sounds little, like it moves the film part just a little and stops, and the lights gone, i have locked the shutter pressed and then i am plugging and unplugging the battery component, every time it moves a little and then shut down, in the attached picture i have mentioned an arrow and a red circle on the part which rotates once and then camera shut down, so can any technical guy can explain me what is this issue.? i think the camera is not damaged, as it powers on, and then off after rotating one frame. i turned all the speed but the same behavior for all speeds. So what i am basically missing.? do i have to insert the reel to make it work.? or what.? I will also try to put a video for clear views. But kindly guide me. or if someone have made any video for running this camera then please share. or any service manual if it needs service. Thanks.
  13. I'm about to shoot a short film and have a question about focusing the lens of my bolex cam. Should I eyeball it? Or do I use a tape measure from the lens to the subject and then calculate that and adjust the focus ring by what the tape says? I want to be as accurate as possible. The lens is 12.5mm
  14. Hi Can anyone share the service manual for Bolex H16EL version, as i found on internet but not successful, i bought this camera and i have managed to power it, when i press the battery test white button, the light lit, but the camera don't work, sometimes a relay like sound heard when i press the shutter button, so i need some professional advise to fix this issue, i am sure it will be fixed, as it was never been used since 1995, and kept in the box.so i think it was stuck, and need some new oil and grease to get this beast work again. Thanks in advance.
