I would say that this is probably an image that has a partial blue tint created on set and has also been graded, IMO the blues look too rich to have been done without grading. http://imdb.com/Photos/Ss/0241527/3248.jpg cheers. Yep. It seems that way. The tint is sort of an overall wash. And there's a lot of light in there as well ! It's a pretty big area. jb
Premium Member Chris Keth Posted September 8, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted September 8, 2007 I think you could get that kind of saturation without any special grading but lighting with that much filtration on the lens would be a difficult exercise. Personally, I think I'd do it with an 80A on the lens and then push it the rest of the way in post. Premium Member Andrew Rawson Posted September 8, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted September 8, 2007 We always call this the "E.T" light when you put a source on the ground back aways and then add atmosphere. As far as the color it simply looks to me like tungsten stock with uncorrected HMI's, maybe an extra 1/2 blue added to uncorrected HMI's. A favorite color of mine is Lee's Medium Blue. It's a very rich blue. Andy
Ashley Barron
Thanks very much guys! Do you think that lavender or purple gels can do much for a scene like this in terms of adding colour?
