Camera Sliders

I'm looking for any side by side comparisons of camera sliders. It's for a Canon DSLR. I saw some reviews but would like to get some more opinions or if you know of a url that has a shootout of different brands.

 

The Glidetrack looks pretty good. It's the one I'm considering. Any particular model that I should consider? The Hybrid version looks good.

 

The "Phillip Bloom" Kessler pocket dolly looks like the best but expensive.

 

I saw the Konova slider, but it doesn't seem to have a resistance knob to control the speed of the slider.

 

Any other brands or opinions?

I had a Glidetrack.... Don't waste your money. I ended up using my Cat slider with an adapter from the mitchel to bowl because it was smooth whereas the glidetrack wasn't.

 

I can't speak about the others.

I bought the dyi Igus slider and it works great, somtimes get a little stick but for 140$ you cant complain.

 

Compared to philip blooms its a great basic slider but obviously with blooms your going to get that crank and counter weight or whatever while spending about 1000$ more.

We sell the MY-T Works slider system because it is so well designed and versatile. The slider tray itself can pop out of the track to become a little hihat stand or go into a little car with rubber wheels. Pretty neat.

I tried several sliders and ended up with the Kessler which is really worth the money.

In terms of malleability and mobility, ie traveling and using your sliders of choice, what can you recommend that isn't too cumbersome? One that might travel easily and still be sturdy enough for everyday shooting scenarios.
