Bernhard Kipperer
Hi all! The spring winder piece on my recently bought Krasnogorsk-3 just came off the body, see the attached image that shows it. Any idea how I could get that back onto it, I can't believe that would be my second body already to break within a few weeks after purchasing (on the first one the spring itself broke inside). Bernhard Kipperer
I was able to push the lever thingy (marked red above) back onto the the body. The teeth of the lever go into two holes in the thing marked blue above. I can wind again if I do it carefully, the problem is that it can come off any time again as this is very loose, see below image. Any idea how I can tighten this? Maybe the two holes on top of the thing marked blue?? Bernhard
Premium Member Aapo Lettinen Posted January 13, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted January 13, 2017 1. remove that small center screw which has two holes, you may need a suitable tool for it 2. remove the plate and washer 3. now you see the grooves where the latch is attached and you can remove the latch 4. fine tune the latch to fit perfectly to the grooves 5. reattach latch 6. reattach the washer, plate and screw I may have a picture here somewhere... Premium Member Aapo Lettinen Posted January 13, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted January 13, 2017 here's a picture what is under the 2hole screw: the whole procedure should take only couple of minutes ^_^
Premium Member Aapo Lettinen Posted January 13, 2017 Premium Member Share Posted January 13, 2017 if the screw is loose from the beginning you can first try to tighten it. if that resolves the problem you don't have to go any further

Charles Mauk
Will having a split winding base like that cause light to leak in the camera and therefore on film?

No, the entire drive mechanism and the backplate of the film chamber are in between. There's no way for any light to get through there.
