Clive Tobin
Clive, Not sure which system you used to transfer the Kodachrome I sent you last month, but the footage looks great. Thank you, Steve Thanks, we used one of our TVT-S8K machines.
Anthony Schilling
The thing about tranferring amature footage through a condensor setup is that a lot of it can be underexposed, and that can be a headeache to deal with... a sniper unit is really the way to go if you don't want to stop down and produce really dark images in order to avoid condensor artifact... and then crank it up in post by tweaking the levels and have rendering time and compression. Color corredtion is a whole other story. I only do my own stuff with the XP, and shoot a white card on the opening scene of my S8 film for the white balance... otherwise you're dealing with muddy whites or blue casts that need correction throughout an entire reel. Makes me think, I wish Roger could just design an adapter that could be used to capture with any camera off the gate... because I can purchase a nice 3 chip DV cam where I can control alot more, for the same price as the full auto version of the single chip sniper upgrade.
