35mm Lenses should be used in super16mm?

35mm-format lenses do not generally go very wide (for a reasonable price). As a result, you will probably have to use Ultra16 or Cooke SK4 Super16-format lenses for your wider focal lengths (less than 12mm, generally). Luckily these lenses are designed inside and out to be very similar to their 35mm-format siblings, but with a smaller image circle.

Ultra Primes and Cooke S4's will work with the SR3. Master Primes will NOT work. While theoretically the SR3 can take any PL mount lens, the physical size of the lens limits this due to the placement of the eyepiece.

Part of the reason for the design of the viewfinder on the 416. The Aatons can fit everything.
