For short term, Fridge is fine, for long term freezer.

 

The faster the ASA the more it should go into deep freeze, but 500T should last pretty well for a few months in the normal fridge.

 

When in doubt, have a lab clip test it.

thanks for clearing that up. I'll keep it in the freezer, its really old, and is a medium speed, 320t.

And might be a few months before I use it.

if stock is fairly old i think you should do some tests before you put it into a freezer, it will give you an idea about the condition stock is in.

The freezer is the place but put it in a ziplock freezer bag first to seal it from any possible water vapour.

 

I get the impression this film might be really, really old. If so it's probably not worth clip testing as it will fail but keep in mind it will probably come out a bit weird.
