Premium Member Tim Carroll Posted December 15, 2008 Premium Member Share Posted December 15, 2008 Dennis, What is the serial number on the camera, and do the serial numbers on the door and the serial numbers on the back of the camera match? Patrick Barry
Was this camera originally Super 16mm or adapted to Super 16? Does the battery need to be re-celled?

What makes you think this camera is super 16? Absolutely no Arri S or M was ever originally super 16.
Premium Member Hunter Hampton Posted December 22, 2008 Premium Member Share Posted December 22, 2008 The S next to the 16mm can get confusing.

Tim, Actually, that is not 100% true. At least I cannot say with certainty that it is 100% true. There have been rumors for many years of a few Factory Arriflex 16S cameras made at the end of the run, as more of an experiment than anything else, in Super 16. I have not yet seen one on my bench, but in many different discussions with the folks at ARRI, I have never gotten a complete straight answer, and they have never denied their existence.
