PaulIVX
I will be making three short films, and combine them in to one. There will be some weeks in between recording them. Now, my question is, how long can I keep exposed film. I want to sent them all at once to the lab to save costs, so I have to keep some of the films in the drawer before sending them off. best regards Paul
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted June 16, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted June 16, 2010 Keep the exposed neg in the freezer or fridge. It will slow the degradation of the latent image. You'll have a good amount of time (few weeks), though it is recommended to get it developed ASAP!
Premium Member Simon Wyss Posted June 16, 2010 Premium Member Share Posted June 16, 2010 Today's films hold for months. Imagine you'd do a time-lapse job over half a year or so, how else could one work if the amount of fog out of the latent image was excessive? No, don't worry about that point, there is more general fog generated by the reducing agents of the usual developers than what would grow in your layers. I mean experiencewise. Miguel Loredo
"Some weeks?" Even if it's some months, you'll notice nothing even if you don't keep them in any fridge. There's no need to exagerate! Film is film, not fish...
