Guest STIJN
OK, I got this NIZO 6080 and camera and charger seem ok. But the inside of the battery (or power pack, the one that goes inside the handle) is empty (I have the case that goes inside the handle) so I can't get the camera to run... Is there a nicad pack or something that I can purchase to make the camera run... It sucks because I cannot returned and I paid almost $500. Help please!!!! Premium Member Alessandro Machi Posted February 24, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted February 24, 2005 It would be good if you have access to a manual. I am not sure if the 6080 runs off of rechargeable nicads rather than alkalines. Better to be certain before throwing any old batteries in the camera. Does anybody know? Guest B Woolman
I recently got a Nizo 6080 myself and have used 6 regular AA batts in the holder and it has worked fine.
Matt Pacini
Yep, don't panic. Good old AA's work fine in the 6080. Just be happy you have the battery holder, those babies are hard to find! Matt Pacini
Chris Burke
The power on my 6080 cut out sometimes for no good reason. The batteries are good. When it works it works good. Then, wham! Power goes out and I can not get it to work. It has a mind of it's own. Does yours behave this way?
Premium Member Alessandro Machi Posted February 25, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted February 25, 2005 It would be good to reference the manual just to see what it says about the batteries.
Rudy Velez Jr
I just loaded regular double a batteries into my camera and nothing happened =( I put the batteries in that mini black box and I went to hit the battery check and no light came on. Could it be that I have to use NiCad or NiMah...what is the difference between the two?

It is a long thin black button on the rear of the handgrip it needs to be locked in he down position to operate he camera
Bill Rodgers
Please... no, no, no, NO, NOOOOOO!!! Do NOT use six regular 1.5v AA batteries. Use five and a dummy battery or six 1.2v rechargeable batteries in a Braun Nuzo 6080. Six 1.5v batteries is just enough to blow the internal lightmeter!!!
