Eric F Adams
I am having the hardest time finding about half a dozen empty 16mm cans for my short ends (400 foot cans). I've looked at film supplies sites, ebay, etc. Anybody know where I can find about 6 or 7 cans? I would certainly appreciate it. Eric

Eric F Adams
Call up the lab you intend to work with and see if they can give you some cans/cores/black bags. Good Morning Adrian... I did that twice and they said they would and must have forgot. They have been so great with everything else so I have given them "a pass" on this..., I just did not want to push it and be a pest about it. Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted April 8, 2012 Premium Member Share Posted April 8, 2012 It is possible they did forget; why not try stopping in and seeing your contact there for 'em, if possible? Else, perhaps pre-pay shipping for the cans and speak with them 'bout that. Normally I just have whomever is running the footage over ask for some cans ect when they're there. Premium Member Charles MacDonald Posted April 9, 2012 Premium Member Share Posted April 9, 2012 They often turn up on e-bay, but I don't see any today. If all fails you might contact urbanski films. http://moviecraft.tripod.com/supplies.html he has some "new" 400ft cans listed (http://members.tripod.com/~Moviecraft/webpix/400ftsteelcan.jpg) for about 5 bucks each. of course if you needed a pallet load Kodak would sell them. (Which is probably where Urbanski got his)
Jay Stewart
16 will obviously fit into 35 cans too, and there's plenty of it (and cans) lying around these days. ;)
Nick Peterson
Hi Eric, I have a bevy of 16mm short ends in cans that I would be happy to send your way if you can cover shipping. PM me if interested... Cheers, Nick
