Daniel Miler
Hi all Does anyone have a tip on where i can get 35mm/ 16mm reversal film? I've been browsing through the net for a while and had some difficulty with this. I found some 16mm on B&H, but no 35mm. Help?
Premium Member Will Montgomery Posted October 28, 2012 Premium Member Share Posted October 28, 2012 You order 35mm Ektachrome 100D directly from Kodak. You can order any and all stocks from Kodak this way. Kodak order line: 800-621-3456
Daniel Miler
Thanks for the quick reply. I thought Kodak discontinued all reversal stocks a few months ago and that I can only obtain them through retailers that still have left over stocks. So basically Kodak might also have left overs on their shelfs?
Mark Dunn
Stills reversal film has been discontinued but AFAIK MP Ektachrome 100D has not. They haven't stopped making E6 chamicals either.
Daniel Miler
Well I hope you are right! I just love the look of reversal (:
Premium Member Will Montgomery Posted October 31, 2012 Premium Member Share Posted October 31, 2012 Plenty of Ektachrome 100D available from Kodak. Not a problem at all. In 16mm I find that it reminds me of "home movies" from the Hollywood stars of the 50's... where they were all staged for the public anyway, but had those nice pastel colors. If you can, try projecting it as that is the only way to really see those great colors.
Indiefilmstock
We've got a bit of short ends of 16mm color reversal 100D. Its a 200' and a 100' short end if you or anyone is interested. If anyone buys some from Kodak and has ends left over in 35mm and 16mm, we'll be glad to buy them back.
