Ad Shot on Canon 60D...Critque?

I directed this ad for a doritos competition (obviously I didnt win) but I would like to know what you think of the quality of the shots and camera, style, etc. And any other advice I could improve on.

There is a section for critiquing work, this area is for general discussion. It helps in keeping things tidy. Also, you do need to use your full name, it's one of the forum rules.

The only thing I see wrong is the not the shots, but the content. Its too vague, which adds confusion and the humor is lost. Is the guy suppose to be an animal? : )

The lighting is very flat. The focus was off in a couple of shots. I think that the composition could have been more creative. Some of the colors are supersaturated to the point that they clip, and the overall look is very "video".

 

Having said all that, I'm sure you learned a lot from this, and next year's submission will probably be amazing.
