karmchawla
Hey a small query..so i was planning to apply a black stocking behind my lenses. The rental company wouldn't allow me to glue them or tape them, hence the method i applied was put a rubbed band behind my master primes..i was pretty happy with the result. However a small query...has anyone tried this before? i mean applying them with a rubber band? i am little concerned about the heat generated...will it affect the rubber band and make it slip? just wondering how safe is this method?? cheers
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted July 30, 2013 Premium Member Share Posted July 30, 2013 They sell small rubber band like attachments which do this (irings I think?). I never thought nor worried about rubber bands ect... i mean you're normally using tape and glue which are also flammable and respond to heat badly. Premium Member Aapo Lettinen Posted August 1, 2013 Premium Member Share Posted August 1, 2013 it could also be possible to use silicone / polyurethane bands for this if you don't trust rubber. I don't know how well polyurethane responds to heat, tho... they use this kind of bands for ex. attaching temporary hair extensions. There is also O-rings made of nitrile rubber which could also be used :)
