Rob McCray
Is it possible to convert a 2M to 3-perf Super 35mm?
Freya Black
My understanding is that while it is possible, it is VERY expensive to convert the Konvas to 2 perf or 3 perf. The kinor 35mm cameras on the other hand are a very good candidate for conversion, and also have the advantage of being self blimped too, so ready for sound shooting. They are also able to use the OCT-19 lenses from the Konvas so it's better and cheaper to get hold of a kinor body and have that converted instead. Gregg MacPherson
It would be a good idea to talk to the few people who do conversions and ask what different cameras cost. The only people I know off hand are Aranda Group in Australia (Bruce).
Rob McCray
Sorry for my late reply and thanks for taking the time to respond. Yes, according to Aranda the Konvas CANNOT be converted to 3 perf. :(
victor huey
Konva can be converted to two perf, but it is very expensive. I own one and it is extremely rare.
