Iki Nakagawa
Hi. I'm trying to figure out what the Field of vision will look like if I were to use super 16 lens on gh 2. I'm trying to do this by using director's view finder app. What would be the closest combination set up?
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted December 6, 2013 Premium Member Share Posted December 6, 2013 most S16mm lenses won't cover the sensor on the GH2.
Iki Nakagawa
But I read this http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/cameras/panasonic_gh2_11_mode_revealed.shtml
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted December 6, 2013 Premium Member Share Posted December 6, 2013 Sure the 1:1 allows you to show a smaller image circle; however, you get more and larger noise. I tried it on my GH2, and it never really worked too well.
Iki Nakagawa
I see thanks. How about regular 16mm lens?
Chris Burke
Regular 16mm has an even smaller image circle, so they won't work. Except perhaps longer focal lengths. The thing to remember is that the micro 4/3 sensor is larger than S16, so lenses that are suitable for S16 at least at the wide end of things, are not going to be large enough to cover M4/3. Regular 16 is even smaller than those two.
