Brian Rose Posted March 30, 2014 Share Posted March 30, 2014 Will the Cosmicar-Pentax 8-48 lens cover S16mm? It's a c-mount lens, for 1/2 inch chips. The S16mm frame is .48 inches wide, so it would seem this lens would work. I'd sure love to use this lens because it's super fast. If anyone knows for sure, I'd sure appreciate it! Even 2/3" lenses don't cover S16mm through their whole range. Pavan Deep Posted March 30, 2014 Share Posted March 30, 2014 (edited) I have this lens and use it for Super 8 and I can tell you it doesn't cover Super 16, most lenses for 2/3 sensors won't cover Super 16 either, though some do, it's just a matter of trying different lenses out. For Super 16 I know that 1" CCTV lenses will definitely work and Fujinon and Canon lenses produce good images.
