Premium Member Keith Walters Posted April 2, 2014 Premium Member Posted April 2, 2014 Hmm, once gain we have Red Digital Cinema claiming in their "Shot on Red" page: Title: Captain America: The Winter Soldier Release Date: April 04, 2014 Director(s): Anthony Russo, Joe Russo DP: Trent Opaloch Writer(s): Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely (screenplay) Starring: Chris Evans, Frank Grillo, Sebastian Stan Genre: Action | Adventure | Sci-Fi But then IMDB says: Camera Arri Alexa Plus 4:3, Panavision C-, E-, G-Series, ATZ and AWZ2 LensesRed Epic, Panavision C-, E- and G-Series Lenses So how much was shot with Alexa and how much with the Epic?
Sean Cunningham Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Visual effects sequences would be a likely split.
KH Martin Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 shotonwhat has got alexa and red and canon eos c500 listed, just to complicate the matter. If there are scenes set in the past, maybe those use a different format camera?
KH Martin Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Oh, I just saw ICG covered this in the new issue. Four Alexas for most everything, plus a bunch of red epics for crash cam and extensive handheld. doesn't mention the canons at all.
Reuel Gomez Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Oh, I just saw ICG covered this in the new issue. Four Alexas for most everything, plus a bunch of red epics for crash cam and extensive handheld. doesn't mention the canons at all. Is it the cover story?
Chris Millar Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Is it the cover story? try the website??? http://www.icgmagazine.com/wordpress/category/cover/2014/ http://www.icgmagazine.com/wordpress/category/cover/2013/
KH Martin Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 It is not the cover story (that's mine, the one on TRANSCENDENCE), but it is in the April issue. Just got my comp copy in the mail, not sure when it hits newsstands, assuming anybody actually stocks ICG anymore (haven't seen it in a store since the last Tower Books in these parts went out of business a decade ago.) They don't usually put the secondary stories online, but if it does turn up, it'll probably be within the next couple of weeks. Everything is a little behind schedule because of NAB, I think.
Premium Member Matthew W. Phillips Posted April 13, 2014 Premium Member Posted April 13, 2014 ...a bunch of red epics for crash cam ... Finally, an appropriate use for those cameras! :D
Kemalettin Sert Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Finally, an appropriate use for those cameras! :D Ridley Scott and David Fincher shooting crash movies for youtube too.
