Tyler Clark
Did some test shots for an upcoming food shoot. I didn't have access to vegetables that we'd be shooting so I set up a set around some K-cups we had around the office and tried to coordinate the colors to match. Test Stills can be seen below. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3VnPaGt2w_5eDhpQmdUaGp6aDg What would make the lighting, placement and color schemes better? Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted December 8, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted December 8, 2015 Nothing terribly wrong. Maybe a bit of backlight to punch things up a bit.
Premium Member Mark Kenfield Posted December 14, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted December 14, 2015 I'd suggest keeping a deep-enough depth of field to capture the whole of the logo in focus. Also, the pink/white of the capsules provide the dominant colour scheme, I'd try to pick mugs/visual elements that compliment those colours - the yellow/multi-coloured mug is a bit distracting colour wise. Also the grey/brown of the tabletop surface isn't particularly pretty, I'd go with a nice wood or granite countertop, or something clean and bright at least. The arrangement of the various elements also comes across as a little haphazard in most of the shots (8683 being best). You want the arrangement to naturally draw your eye towards the hero product. JD Hartman
What are evidently sugar cubes could be easily mistaken for cheese. No shimmer of the crystals, work on the lighting a bit.
