Monitor + Wireless FF

Hi guys we want to invest on a set for pulling focus on gymbal and on handheld.

 

I was thinking on the idea of using a SmallHD702 with a V-mount plate, teradek bolt 300 ,and a DJI focus. (because most of the times we shoot on gymbal)

 

The another idea it was to use the chrosziel magnum mini, with another monitor and with normal batteries like the Sony NPF9 oder BPU.

 

It needs to be a easy setup, nothing really expensive like a Cmotion oder Arri WCU-4.

 

Any experiences and ideas?

The Heden Carat wireless focus system isn't bad if you can spend a bit more. Small and lighter than the Bartech and reliable.

It's just a crappy wireless follow focus system for low budget filmmaking. Nothing like an Arri, C-Motion or Preston...

It's enough to ... 'get the job done' ... and it's cool in that it doesn't have a receiver type module - it's built in to the motor.

 

However, would never take it on a job that requires any type of reliability.

 

Of course the Preston FIZ in the division champion but I absolutely love the RT Motion set up.
